Burnham‑on‑Sea & Highbridge Carnival 2025

Burnham-on-Sea’s illuminated carnival returns on Monday 3 November 2025, featuring a grand procession of light-covered floats, musical walking entries and dozens of giant carnival carts winding through the streets of Burnham and Highbridge. The parade kicks off around 7:30pm, showcasing carts that can be up to 100 feet long, 16 feet high, and packed with thousands of lights. Before the main event, the carnival floats arrive late Saturday night after Bridgwater’s carnival, and stay on display Sunday and Monday across the town along Queens Drive and Frank Foley Parkway. There’s also a fireworks display by the seafront scheduled for Sunday 2 November.

Parking will be limited as the town’s roads close from about 6:30pm. Best spots include Oxford Street and Pier Street car parks, and many side-streets are used too. The event raises funds for local charities and depends on support from local carnival clubs and volunteers.
