Spring Collective Exhibition

27 March @ 10:00 am17 April @ 5:00 pm
Free

Elaine Foster-Gandey Art is delighted to present a three-week Spring Collective Exhibition, celebrating the colours, textures and gentle movement that mark the arrival of the new season.

Running from Friday 27th March to Friday 17th April, the exhibition brings together a curated group of contemporary artists working across painting, textiles, photography and mixed media. Inspired by the renewal and energy of spring, the works reflect shifting light, vibrant colour palettes and tactile surfaces that echo the rhythms of growth and transformation in the natural world.

Among the featured artists is Anne Blackwell-Fox, whose striking paintings of trees and landscapes capture the strength and quiet beauty of nature. Landscape continues as a theme in the atmospheric oil paintings of Rachel Hardy and Rosie French, known for her expressive works inspired by the Rame Peninsula.

Textile and mixed-media practices are strongly represented throughout the exhibition. Catherine Blunden presents woven pieces including landscapes, while Tracey Attfield shows free-flow machine embroidery depicting animals alongside her paintings. Elaine Foster-Gandey exhibits textiles and paintings inspired by birds and people, exploring movement and character through layered surfaces and colour. Sara Thomas contributes vibrant textile pieces and handmade lampshades, and Mary Toon, a multidisciplinary artist working across mixed media, presents figurines and multi media pieces in 2D and 3D forms.

The exhibition also features abstract works by Kathryn Smith including her popular cards and Kymberley Robinson, also with cards and prints alongside the multidisciplinary practice of Heidi Swire, who works across painting, textiles and photography. Wendy Rylance presents paintings of surfers and landscapes, as well as a selection of her popular cards.

The exhibition opens with a Private View on Friday 27th March, offering visitors the opportunity to meet the artists and celebrate the launch of the show. Over the past year, Elaine Foster-Gandey Art has established itself as a growing destination within Cornwall’s arts scene, known for its vibrant exhibitions and welcoming, inclusive ethos.
