Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure – ThisIsSouthWest.com

Effective Date: 1 October 2026

At ThisIsSouthWest.com, we believe readers should be able to understand when we may receive a financial benefit from a link, booking, recommendation or advertisement.

This page explains how affiliate links, Days & Stays, advertising and other commercial relationships work across ThisIsSouthWest.com.

Some links on ThisIsSouthWest.com and Days & Stays are affiliate links.

If you follow one of these links and subsequently make a booking or purchase, we may receive a commission from the relevant provider or affiliate network at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate links may relate to services including accommodation, flights, attractions, activities, airport parking, transport, car hire and other travel products.

2. Days & Stays

Days & Stays is a travel search and discovery service operated by ThisIsSouthWest.com.

The domain DaysAndStays.com may direct visitors to Days & Stays services and content hosted on ThisIsSouthWest.com.

Days & Stays may display or provide links to third-party travel services. Some of these are affiliate links, meaning we may receive a commission if you follow a link and subsequently make a qualifying booking or purchase.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, bookings and payments are completed with the relevant third-party provider.

The presence of an affiliate relationship does not guarantee that a particular flight, hotel, attraction or other travel product will be suitable for you. Always check the final price, availability and booking conditions with the provider before making a booking.

ThisIsSouthWest.com is an independently operated travel website.

Running the website involves costs including hosting, technology, travel, photography, research and content production.

Affiliate commissions and advertising help contribute towards these costs while allowing our destination guides, travel information and Days & Stays search tools to remain available without charging readers to access them.

4. Editorial Independence

Our editorial content is produced independently.

An affiliate relationship does not determine which destinations, attractions, events or businesses we choose to cover editorially.

Where we make an editorial recommendation, we aim to base it on our experience, research or assessment of what may be useful to our readers rather than simply whether an affiliate relationship is available.

Not every business, attraction, accommodation provider or travel service mentioned on ThisIsSouthWest.com has an affiliate relationship with us.

5. Affiliate Links Within Editorial Content

Affiliate links may appear within otherwise independent editorial articles and travel guides.

Where appropriate, we identify affiliate content so that its commercial nature is clear to readers.

Where an article or section is specifically created around affiliate-linked products or services, we will make the commercial relationship clear.

Affiliate advertising and other marketing communications are identified in accordance with applicable UK advertising requirements.

6. Sponsored Content and Advertising

From time to time, ThisIsSouthWest.com may carry paid advertising or sponsored content.

Where content has been paid for or produced as part of a commercial arrangement requiring disclosure, it will be clearly identified using appropriate wording such as Ad, Advertisement, Sponsored or another sufficiently clear description.

Payment for advertising or sponsored content does not give an advertiser control over unrelated editorial coverage on ThisIsSouthWest.com.

We reserve the right to decline advertising or commercial relationships that we do not consider appropriate for the website or its readers.

7. Complimentary Visits, Products and Experiences

If we receive a complimentary stay, ticket, product, experience or other material benefit in connection with content, we will disclose this where appropriate.

Receiving something free does not guarantee positive coverage.

Where we express an opinion about an experience, attraction, accommodation provider or other service, we aim to make that opinion independently.

8. Affiliate Tracking

Affiliate links may contain identifiers that allow an affiliate network or provider to recognise that a visitor has arrived from ThisIsSouthWest.com or Days & Stays.

Affiliate attribution may involve cookies or similar technologies.

Where consent is required for technologies used on our website, these are managed through our consent management platform.

More information about cookies, affiliate tracking and the processing of personal information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Providers

When you follow an affiliate or booking link to another website, the third party’s own terms, privacy policy and booking conditions apply.

ThisIsSouthWest.com does not normally process the payment for bookings made through these links.

Questions about a booking, payment, cancellation, amendment or refund should normally be directed to the provider with whom the booking was made.

10. Amazon Associates

ThisIsSouthWest.com participates in the Amazon Associates programme.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

11. Advertising Standards

We aim to ensure that advertising and affiliate marketing appearing on ThisIsSouthWest.com is clearly distinguishable from independent editorial content where required.

Affiliate marketing and other advertising content may fall within the scope of the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (the CAP Code).

We aim to follow applicable guidance from the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) and relevant UK consumer protection requirements.

12. Your Choice

Using an affiliate link is entirely optional.

If you choose to make a booking or purchase through one of our affiliate links, the resulting commission helps support the operation and development of ThisIsSouthWest.com and Days & Stays.

13. Changes to This Disclosure

We may update this disclosure when our commercial relationships, services or applicable requirements change.

Significant changes will be recorded below and the effective date will be updated.

14. Policy Updates
