Poole Christmas Maritime Light Festival 2025

Poole’s Christmas Maritime Light Trail transforms the town centre into a festive nautical wonder each winter. Visitors follow a free light trail that winds from Falkland Square through Poole High Street and down to Poole Quay, where dazzling maritime-themed installations sparkle in the dark. Highlights often include a giant anchor, a galleon, large decorated trees (such as a blue sea life tree), lanterns, garlands, icicle lights, and a “ceiling of light” featuring fish and starfish.

This magical light trail is designed for all ages and perfect for evening strolls, family outings, or festive photography. With multiple key viewing spots and selfie opportunities, it’s one of the best Christmas attractions in Dorset. The event is organised by Poole BID and supported by BCP Council Event teams, and is part of the broader Christmas in Poole programme which includes choir performances, markets, and festive shop-windows along the same route.
