Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week, Dorset

15 to 23 August 2026
A week-long seaside festival held around Lyme Regis harbour and seafront in Dorset, raising funds for the RNLI and celebrating the work of the town’s volunteer lifeboat crew. The programme usually includes family activities, displays, competitions, live entertainment and maritime events, with different attractions taking place throughout the week. Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week is a popular community celebration and a good choice for visitors looking for what’s on in Dorset during the summer holidays. Donations and proceeds from many activities help support the RNLI’s lifesaving work.

Announced on 08 August 2026, the Red Arrows display at Lyme Regis has been cancelled after poor weather in north-eastern Canada delayed the team’s return from its North American tour. Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week will continue from 15 to 23 August, including two privately owned Spitfires at 6 pm on 19 August and planned BBMF flypasts on 21 and 22 August. Aircraft and timings for the BBMF flypasts have not yet been announced. Sidmouth Regatta Airshow remains planned for 28 August, with the Red Arrows currently scheduled to appear.

Friday runs from 5 pm to 10.30 pm, with music from 11.30 am to 10.30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Early bird weekend passes go on sale on 10 August 2026.
